The customer service claims that they can only do what policy states per the hotel you stayed at. The hotels dont have any management over the general manager at the hotels so there isnt anyone to keep the staff standards up to par. Unacceptable customer service.
Want a refund
The room / hotel was NOTHING like it looked in the internet.. absolutely disgusting..
couldnt even sleep in the bed because we laid down and were both super itchy.. the outlet behind the bed was caved right in- & they were still using it!!!
The air conditioner had an inch of dust on it.. great to be breathing in.

Hotels.com is absolute wonderful. I love their website.
It is the hotel. I booked through that I had this horrible experience, which was American in Windham in Rochester..
Hotel way too loud, rude front staff, uncleanliness. Stay was horrible and very frustrating. I chose this hotel as it is the closest to the Mayo Civic Center, as well as all the kids who have worked so hard and put in all this work all year long. They wrestled and made it to state and would be wrestling for placement on Saturday the 15th.
We had to be at our event at 6:30 a.m. the next morning, so we wanted to go to bed at 9 p.m., and there were other wrestling families there as well, knowing this is a big deal and what my kid worked so hard for, as well as the other kids staying at this hotel. This is the kids' final big deal, and making it to state is a big accomplishment; it is very tough to make it to this event. My biggest complaint, and why I was very upset and would never stay at this hotel again, is that first, when we got up to our room, there was *** smeared on the side of the toilet seat.
The floors were not vacuumed, and garbage had not been emptied from the previous people's stay. That was the start of it. Then to top it off, when we were trying to go to bed at 9 o'clock at night, there was a crowd of at least 15 teenagers outside my back that were inconsiderate, obnoxious, extremely loud, swearing non-stop, and screaming for no reason, throwing things at guests' windows that told them they needed to be quiet. My room was on the 3rd floor, but our window faced right where all this noise was happening.
Again, it started at 9:30 p.m. I opened the windows in the room and told them they needed to be quiet. People were trying to sleep and get up early. Being disrespectful, I shut the windows, and my family and I heard what sounded like small rocks chucked at our window.
Others continued to be very obnoxious, swearing, throwing things at our window, and being extremely loud and inconsiderate. I did this multiple times and heard others angrily saying the same thing to them. We have to be up early in the morning! It got worse; now some of them decided to run the hallways, calling disgusting names and telling random people to shut the *** and they would not stop.
Therefore, I went down to the front desk and complained to the staff member there, and he stated that he would go out and tell them that they needed to quiet down or go back to their rooms. Not listening, two minutes later there was more throwing of rocks at my window, screaming, yelling, and noise. This disaster went on until 3 a.m. I was upset and tired.
Now my child, who worked so hard all year long to make it to state, is huge and important to kids. They need good sleep for a big day, and my family and I were up so much due to this; we could not sleep. I asked these teenagers nicely to please be respectful and quiet as we were trying to sleep. Then down in the lobby at 2-3 a.m., there were a bunch of parents who had been drinking and were very obnoxious and very loud.
This led to multiple other wrestling families complaining. The next morning when we woke up, I went down to check out, and I told the staff member there, her name was Aaron. She was nice; however, she told me I should've called the cops because there was nothing she could have done more. That day I received multiple complaints about the adults in the lobby and then noises and whatnot.
It was a nightmare. I didn't get barely any sleep, and then I was told that the manager would be in later that day and to call because I had asked if I could get money back towards our room, as I was very unhappy with all the things that occurred. I called multiple times later, but no one ever answered the phone. I called back Sunday morning, and the lady who answered the phone told me to call back when the manager was in and that there was nothing she could do, and she hung up on me.
I called back to get her name. I was very upset at this point; therefore, I called hotels.com, through whom I had booked. They took care of me and were extremely friendly, explaining in detail how they would be handling this situation. I have to contact the management and then be waiting to hear back from their customer service.
They exceeded my expectations for customer service and told me they were going to contact them and what they were going to do from there. The hotels.com customer service representative also gave us a credit on their end and was very sincere, taking great care as well as being very helpful. They should receive 10 stars for their customer service. American in Wyndham in Rochester, Minnesota, near Mayo Civic Center, 1625 Broadway Ave.

I would never recommend this hotel. I was very unsatisfied with the cleanliness of our room, the staff member I talked to who hung up on me, and the teenagers.

My American Airlines account was supposed to receive 2.5X the recent hotel booking on hotel.com, which was booked through Advantage e-shopping. Please see the attached receipt and confirmation.

The rooms were filthy. This place is disgusting, and the staff are even worse.
I asked for a new room due to it not being clean. They gave me a room, and I went to look at the new room, and the sheets had been slept in. Then I asked for new sheets, and they handed them to me for me to change. As I was changing them, I noticed the sheets they gave me were also dirty, so I went back to the front desk to ask for a new one, and the manager started yelling at me, saying if I didn't like it, I could leave.
I expressed my concerns, and he then kicked me out and said they were not going to refund me.
Mind you, I was with my 2-year-old daughter, and this occurred at 1:30 a.m. They should be ashamed of themselves because I had nowhere else to go at that time.

Trashy broken bed tv refrigerator that was dirty also with bugs all over and not to mention ppl doing drugs there and yall charged me 50 dollars extra then what the actually *** motel was charging smh. I will never use this app again and will be reporting the motel and this app to the bbb agency asap

Arrived hotel with my 6 y old child. Refused check in even though fully paid.
Booking visa card booked with was lost . No phone number for hotel .com. no way of speaking to anyone. Had to pay hotel again using spe ding morning.
We had to starve and do nothing but beach n pool. Tried thousands of times to find help but virtual chats kept going back to the start. Not a person to speak to from hotel. Com.
Hotel was a complete s...t hole. Thank you hotel .com

I was refused to stay after my payment had been taken from my debit card. I want a full refund because I didn't stay and was dismissed from the property for smoking due to frustration at the hour of night. I want my money back on its original payment method immediately or I will take further action against these third-party rental scams.

I saw when I logged in today that I had 4 free nights that I could redeem from the loyalty program, but I can't see them anymore. I kept the screenshot from July 25th. Can you help me with this issue as I am currently staying at the Virgin Hotel on Broadway in NY and would like to extend for 2 nights?

Dirty hotel
I booked a stay at the travelogde in Marathon, Ontario through Hotels.com
The hotel was dirty, and the manager is not willing to refund my money despite the fact that I slept in the car. I contact Hotels.com after several unsuccessful attempts to solve this matter directly with the hotel.
The same day that I contacted Hotels.com they replied to me that they spoke to the hotel manager and because my room was a non-refundable room, I would not be refunded despite the issues of bugs and nail clippings in the room.
Hotels.com literally did the bare minimum.
I booked 6 Hotels over 10 days with them, and they couldn't be bothered to do more than a single phone call.
I will be removing their app and no longer using their services. Why have a customer service department if they aren't willing to provide customer service
User's recommendation: Stay away from the Travelodge in Marathon Ontario and don't book through Hotels.com.com as they won't help you if you have an issue.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had an accident and had to go in for back surgery.
I wanted to reschedule. They gave a date by which I could reschedule. I called on that date, and the guy said I would have to get in touch with Dolly Dreammoore Hotel. I did, and they said it goes through Hotels.com, so I called them back, and they refused to give the money back.
I received an email saying they were working on the problem, and then I received an email stating they could not refund my money. I went back to the email to snap a picture of it, and it had been taken down, and I cannot bring it back up. Sounds very sneaky to me and unprofessional.
I would be happy with just rescheduling, but now you have nearly $1000 of hard-earned money that we cannot afford to lose due to an accident. I think this is a very poor way to run a business.

lol, there are over 5,300 complaints on this site alone that say hotels.com is not wonderful.
It’s not hotels. Com it is the hotel itself hotel.c customer service was absolutely amazing and took care of everything and have always been excellent customer service. They were very kind and credited us back for being loyal customers even though not their fault
I love hotel.com and their customer service is absolutely above and beyond they very friendly actually care about call they take time to explain everything their website is very easy to understand and they offer key cash give you money credit every time you book thru them to us for future booking. The hotel I stayed at booked under them was the problem and was not happy with my stay so I called hotels.com customer service who I booked thru and from start conversation they polite and listened to the complaint I had with the stay at the hotel I booked thru them and they apologized which is not their fault but after I told them what happened they stated since I was loyalty customer signed up on their app used them multiple times they gave me $25 key cash to use future stay apologetic for that hotel they booked for me was bad.
They didnt and wasn’t expecting anything back on their side but I had to call them since booked thru them they then reached out to management at that hotel with all the problems I had at hotel and give management 24hrs to respond and I also had to call myself speak to management explaining what happened and they can’t just give me a credit back since I booked thru hotels but have hotel.com customer service reach out manager and they come to resolve and offered to refund my whole stay but had to wait following day for general manager to approve it then call hotel.com customer service back stating full refund or if their would be a credit manager willing give to them hotels.com then process the refund immediately upon that and would call me back when it’s done could take few days to get my account.
So they very excellent service! Sorry for long reply but want people to understand
